The State University at New York system (SUNY) boasts its largest research institution (University at Buffalo), its largest education and arts campus (Buffalo State College) and several specialty and community colleges in Western New York.
Activities abound in all four seasons with dining (and not just great Buffalo chicken wings, we have outstanding fine local dining, a wide variety of ethnic restaurants, and vegetarian eateries); community and professional sports, including the NFL’s Buffalo Bills and the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres; a vibrant music and arts community rated as the top arts destination for mid-size cities by American Style Magazine; outdoor adventure with parks and playgrounds, bike and hiking trails; and plenty of shopping.
